Art Classes
How many of you have taken Art Classes? I have traveled to Scottsdale Artists School which was a very expensive class with floral painter Joanna Arnett. My daughter ,Lois Engberg ( Lois Engberg Fine Art) and I enjoyed the class very much. We always learn something from each new class we take. When you are looking for an Art Class start by choosing an artist/instructor whose work you admire. Lois and I have also studied with David Leffel whose work we admired very much. He didn' let us down as an instructor .He made sure every student got the one on one attention they needed. We paint in the Alla-Prima method of painting wet-in-wet. We use Maroger medium to obtain the deep rich tones of the Old Masters Paintings. When painting the classical traditional style you are placing the visual truth of what is in front of you onto the canvas. Antiques, oriental rugs . brass, blue and white porcelain and flowers are some of the items that always find their way onto our canvas. We grow most of the flowers we use and always work from a fresh set-up.We are now teaching classes at my studio workshop in Salisbury, Maryland. For more info email me at bbeauart@gmail.com we would love to have you in a class or workshop!!! Keep painting!
